We had a fun 4th of July celebrating our family. There were activities planned, biking, ropes course activities, any many projects that the men worked on while the women put together of cookbook of favorite family recipes.
Some of the other projects completed were varnishing the deck. Putting up a swing and clearing out dead trees.
Other than that we enjoyed good company and good food and a good time was had by all

Memorial Weekend

We had a great time at the Cabin for the holiday. Dad had plenty of projects to keep the kids busy. They did a little joking around about all the projects but there was time to get in some r/r. The little boys had a blast playing outside. When Cherin asked Jalen what his favorite part was he said "playing". Sunday afternoon Dad and the guys spent the afternoon trying to get a car that had tried to drive across the meadow and got stuck. The ground in the Meadow is still pretty wet and soft. Keith went out and got the Truck out so he took the Backhoe out and got both the Truck and car out but then the Backhoe got stuck. They ended leaving it and will try to get it out when the ground is dryer. The kids in the car were pretty embarrassed about the whole incident

Mother's Day

Mother's Day - it was a great day. The kids that weren't here I got to talk to either on the phone or thru the web cam.

Dallen's Knee Surgery

After having 6 months of Knee problems and back and forth from Dr's and medication we finally decided that he needed surgery.
After Baseball season, on May 23rd, Dallen had surgery on his knee. The Dr went in to remove an inflammed Bursa. After a 2 hr surgery... Dr. Smith said it was the largest Bursa he had ever seen. When further scoping the knee discover a tear in his MCL that he was able to repair. We have been really please after the first week. There is little swelling and pain. He has to be non weighbearing for 4 wks. That is the hardest part for him.

Dallen and Mike's Conference trip with Papa and Nana April 1, 2007

Dallen's and Mike's Conference Trip with Papa and Nana. They had a great time. Their favorite story was when they told Papa and Nana they were going to the Pool to swim. The Pool was on the 2nd floor. They asked the boys again where they were headed and they said the 2nd floor. Papa and Nana didn't know that the Pool was on the 2nd floor(even though the boys had told them, they didn't hear that) and thought they had found some girls to visit. They got a lecture when they got back to the room! he he!

Happy 16th D-REB

THE DAY STARTED OFF WITH A SURPRISE AND ENDED WITH A SURPRISE
His firneds took him to Breakfast at Dennys They came at 5:30 am and rolled him out of bed. He was SURPRISED

Dallen took his driving test in the afternoon. Again, another SURPRISE, he passed! then is was off to the DMV to get his license.
and yes, he came home with the license to drive!

Well, I pulled off something that I said I wasn't going to do, A SURPRISE PARTY. Yep! I know you are all SURPRISED too!
When it came right down to it, I couldn't let this Birthday pass with out doing something extra. I called a few friends and they spread the news quite well Dallen was quite busy that day with baseball practice and repelling with the YM in our ward. That gave me lots of time to get the house ready. When he got home I was doing dishes and cleaning up the kitchenl. He asked me what I did with his ipod and I said it was in his room. All the kids were in is room and yelled surprise! It was a fun AND HE WAS SURPRISED.

Now the car is never home , and I'm not SURPRISED. Thanks for all your phone calls. It means a lot to him, even though
he may be hard for you to tell. He loves you all a lot. Don't forget to check up on him from time to time.

the grandkids

Cherin and the kids were here in March for a week. The kids enjoyed playing together and adopted the neighbors rock as their club house (or something like that)! Camryn is walking now and quite the toddler. Brooklyn can get around too. She is on a crawl everywhere.

Jaxton's Birthday Party

This was Jaxton's 7th Birthday Party. As you can see he is the one having the most fun. Chandler is running a close 2nd!
It was great fun!
